Akian Family Foundation Scholarship

Liana is an AUA alumna who graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. 

During high school, Liana was interested in economics and wanted to pursue a career in business. However, after visiting the AUA Open House, she learned about the Computer Science program and decided to change her direction.

“During my studies, I was hired at SoftConstruct. Together with our team, I worked on the development of a startup company called Hoory, where I am currently working as a machine learning engineer, while also studying for my master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich.”

After obtaining her master’s degree, Liana plans to return to Armenia and use her knowledge from her studies to create a startup company of her own. While she has many ideas, she is now focused on her education and her work in the development of Hoory. 

Liana believes that the milestones she has achieved would not have been possible without the generous donation of the Akian Family Foundation. She is grateful for their support which allowed her to receive her AUA education.
